Sand Dollar Log Cabin is a cozy, clean 2 bedroom plus loft, oceanfront cabin with breathtaking views of the white sands of Gillies Bay.  It’s the perfect retreat for couples to unwind or families to make lasting memories. Max. 5 people
 
Relax on the oceanfront patio while watching the eagles, herons, and hawks soar. With regular visits from deer, sea lions, humpback, and orca whales, as well as the painted turtles at Emily Lake, it’s no wonder our cabin has been described as “a nature lover’s paradise”.
 
Miles of sand and sealife spread from Gillies Bay, making it perfect for long walks, family fun, and spectacular sunsets.  The bay itself is also well-placed for swimming, paddle boarding, and kayaking.   There are hiking trails and old logging roads throughout the island, as well as a 9-hole golf course.

Beaches and Parks

Located on the west shores of the island, Shelter Point Park is truly one of the jewels of Texada. With over 2 km of beach front, it is the perfect playground for visitors with swimming, walking, picnic tables, hiking & nature trails, beaches, boat launch and camping. Don't forget to visit the concession in the summer months and enjoy ice cream or fish & chips as the sun sets!

Hiking/Mt. Biking & Golfing

You'll find numerous hiking and biking trails throughout the Island. One particular favorite for kids is the Gnome Trail at Eagle Cove Trail. There is also a popular nine hole golf course, approximately 10 mins drive from Gillies Bay.

Texada island is home to three museums: try a Texada museum crawl for a fun day exploring! Learn about geology and the history of mining at the Texada Heritage Society or visit the Aviation Museum and the Legion Museum.
